Do you have enough data on all these girls to separate them by the months and maybe days they were born? I'm not sure if this applies, but regarding the 1 year old who died....you know back then it was pretty popular to reuse the name of a dead child for the next child.
Have you looked for church baptismal records? Newspapers?
The only other thing I can think of is if there might be court related documents....and that depends on the location and traditions of the community. Since there were so many illegitimate births, in some places it is possible the father had to post bond for the child (in some places called 'bastardy bonds') and there may have been an opened or closed court civil hearing to force the father to pay some X amount toward the support of the child. If this did happen it would probably be in the probate courts because that pretty much covered family law. But, I'd check around to make sure.
Good luck.
